What are “direct” primary care services and why do I want them?
At Mechanics of Wellness, we follow a ‘direct primary care’ model. We do not take insurance. Why not?
Insurance companies dictate the care provided, how often patients are treated and the type of care received; when insurance requirements aren’t built into your plan of care, it can be personalized to your true needs
Streamline your healthcare by eliminating the insurance middleman
The cost of visits (as seen above) is less than is often billed to insurance, thus the cost to those with high deductible plans is often cumulatively much less compared to traditional models
Patients can view their billing statements on their patient portal and can submit against insurance deductibles or out of pocket costs or can submit for reimbursement, where allowed
Transparent pricing allows patients to plan ahead without getting any surprise bills after-the-fact
